Default I lost my best friend today

    RIP Kota - Oct 5, 2001 - July 2 2011

Best friend, protector of all he loved, Kota was diagnosed with bone cancer last October. He bounced back from a rear leg amputation and chemo to have a good run until the last couple of weeks.

    He will be greatly missed.

    Greg:

Thoughts and prayers are with you in your loss. Some day you will see him again when you cross over the bridge. He was a beautiful dog.

What a stunning pal! I hate to hear about this kind of stuff. It's never easy, but gosh, the times these fellas do give us is amazing! Remember all those wonderful times!

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

My thoughts go to you. I recently lost my friend, a poodle, to a car accident.

Every single time I read that, I weep. I certainly hope thats the case. I plan on having an army of strays, rescues, and the ones who've lived with me greet me when I arrive.

Greg, I wish the best for you, your family, and all those that knew Kota. I also lost my dog to cancer (lymphoma) a month and a half ago. Despite aggressive chemo treatment for 4 months, our dog passed away in mid-May. We still miss him dearly.

For anyone that is wondering, it is most definitely worth it to treat your pet with chemo if the opportunity is available. It is worth every penny.
Please don't tempt me to buy anymore.

I'm so sorry for your loss and wish you and yours the best during this painful time. Having lost a few furry family members myself over the years I know just how painful it can be.
