    Default QCS cream or soap?

I usually prefer creams, but I read on their site that they have a hard cream. Anybody care to comment on how it compares to the soap in terms of latherability, scent, performance, etc?

I have only used the creams. I got a lot of samples and they worked well. I bought a tub of the Rose Otto and the Vostok. In the tub, they work just like soap and they work great - much easier to use than the samples. Load the brush 30-45 secs and bowl or face lather. They are hard creams that look and work like the Italian soft soaps. I will probably buy a puck of soap on my next order but that will be awhile. They are one of my favorites and I highly recommend them.

I have used both, and prefer the hard soaps. Both both products produce a stellar lather, and are some of the top products on the market right now.

The QCS Cream is basically an Italian Soft Soap just as Occams stated. The Fragrance in the cream is stronger than what you get with the soap but both are excellent products.

Man this is so strange. I logged on to ask this very same ? and here someone else is asking the same thing. I talked with one of their guys and he said the fragrance is stronger with the cream. So, I believe I will be getting the cream. Vostok and Tangerine are the two flavors that Im going to try. Sounds yummy!!!!!

I have used both, and I prefer the soaps to the creams. The soaps have some extra goodies in them like avocado oil, that leave my face feeling buttery soft after the shave. Like what was mentioned above the creams are slightly stronger in scent. My favorites are Rose Otto and Provence.

As far as ingredient differences go:

Cream: Water, saponified stearic acid, glycerin, saponified tallow, palm oil, olive oil, and coconut oil, aloe vera extract, essential oil(s), kaolin clay, phenoxyethanol (and) caprylyl glycol, vitamin E.

Soap: Saponified tallow, water, saponified castor oil and shea butter, glycerin, saponified stearic acid, cocoa butter, and coconut oil, essential oil(s), saponified avocado oil, palm oil, and olive oil, aloe vera extract, kaolin clay, lanolin, vitamin E.

The extra stuff in the soap makes it a winner in some ways (like slickness and moisturizing), but many prefer the creams as well. You'll need to get samples to actually decide which you prefer, reading about it probably won't do the trick.

If you get a sample pack of either, make a note it the order comments, and I will include a free sample of the other

Do the samples, they are the only way to go. I love the creams, but that is partly driven by the fact that i felt connstrained by how long it took me generally to get through a hard soap. Samples...the product is really really good.

what timing, i was just going to order some shampoo bars and then decided to look at their shaving creams. in terms of their scent options, what do people recommend if i prefer the simpler soapy creams like proraso green, palmolive classic, AOS unscented, GFT coconut and NB signature? I am not a sandalwood or rose fan. i like the concept of lavender but all my samples have been too floral or perfumy for me.

Aw damn, I placed an order before I saw that... went with all the soaps. I figure if I like that, I'll like the cream even more.
