Ok I tried to shaving with it this morning, I cut myself, I also don't like the feel of the razor when holding it. I am glad I tried it but I think its going on the BST soon.

Aye, it's not everyone's cuppa tea for sure. The thin handle is hard to hold, which is why a lot of guys wrap the thing with string or what not. Maybe its blood thirst, now quenched, will allow you smooth shaves from now? Either way a low priced Kamisori sells pretty easily on the BST.

Patience. New implement of destruction. Everyone gets a Kami bite when they first start (new rule I just made up). They are pretty easy to get nicked with when you start - they are more like a 1/4 hollow in performance (to me). I hate the bare metal handles and my big hands - the thing wallows all over the place. I put handles on all of them. Wrap the sucker with a piece of triangle cloth and then tape it and try it. You'll have lots more control. If you want a jute/flax handle on it, send it over and I'll do it for free. Read the Kamisori Konsortium thread in Contributor's Corner for an example and the fine print.

Please do. You have my address but PM if it is lost in the haze. I usually epoxy them on so they are sealed. You can still take them off if you are pure of heart and if you have a sharp box cutter. Whittle them down, throw away the box cutter blade, soak them in acetone and you are back where you started.
