    Thumbs down Military Uniform Supply.com

I found this business unresponsive to emails and had a bad experience my last order.

    • So I placed an incorrect order with MilitaryUniformSupply.com on Memorial Day, May 28th at 4:32 pm Eastern time.
    • At 5:34 pm, I sent them an email asking them to cancel my order as I had found the correct patches for my Army Service Blues.
    • I then ordered the correct item at 6:07 pm.
    • I did not receive a response to my original email requesting to cancel my order, not even a reply to say, "Sorry, we were unable to cancel your order.".
    • The next communication that I received was at 4:38 pm on Tuesday, May 29th, saying that both my orders had been shipped.
    • I sent them another email on June 5th at 3:46 pm asking why the first order was shipped and why there was no reply to my first email.
    • Again, no reply to my second email as of today.

Unfortunately, there are not a lot of online suppliers to find the correct unit patches. I'm not sure if there is even another one besides Military Uniform Supply. Also, the shipping charge for two 2 inch by 3 inch patches weighing a couple of ounces was $7.95.

Definitely not making another purchase from this company again.

Sorry to hear you had such a bad experience w/this company. Have you ever tried Mardon? www.mardonco.com. They will make patches for you if you cannot find them elsewhere. That is where I order all of my flight suit patches and they have always had very good customer service. Hope this helps.

You could try this place. They are in the River Center Mall in San Antonio. They have a ton of military patches, pins, and flags. I've never ordered anything through them but have been in their store on several occasions.

Afees (PX) has an online store with military insignia. Or you can write to the DOD/Army (or other service) with a copy of your DD-214 and get the real deal, not replicas. And they're free I think. Might take awhile but you get the correct insignia/patches.

I just filed a complained against this company on the Better Business Beaureau. http://www.bbb.org/ I recommend you do the same just so a history profile is built and they are held accountable. Since mine is already on file, yours will just add to the legitimacy that these guys aren't always doing the right thing. It isn't that difficult to file a complaint against this company ... they are located in Pekin, IL.

In my case, I was charged $12.95 for 8-10 day shipping of 5 patches for my multicam uniform. Although I thought this was steep just to send 5 patches, I figured they'd do it using FEDEX or some special delivery service. To my surprise, it arrived in a $5.30 US Postal Service Flat Rate envelope. I wrote the e-mailed the company to request a refund in the difference of shipping price. Instead, they offered me free shipping on my next order. Yeah, right - like I'm even going to come back to them after that fiasco.

The sad part is there's no telling how many other military personnel they've ripped off this way. Charging a high shipping fee then pocketing the difference does not show any integrity in my book. Obviously, they have done something similar with your order. I definitely think you should file a complaint with the BBB just like me so it gets documented and other people know what they get into before they buy from this company.
