Yes there is a certain fear factor out there but I too feel it is unfounded. I picked up a gold plated 37c and so far I love it. Maybe more than the Progress but time will tell...

It's a great razor, but it'll bite you during under-the-nose and around-the-lips work if you are not paying attention; but that's the case with all DE razors. All in all, the 37c is an outstanding razor.

People reading this thread will be getting confused by such positive responses as yours.

How come there are all these threads about Webers, Feather SS, open combs and others, each with respondents asserting that they're the best, when a simple thread commenting on on the 37C not being as aggressive as many had asserted, winds up with so many unsolicited superlative endorsements of it?

    It has certainly surprised me.

Till now, I'd always thought of the slant as some kind of specialty razor.

Happiness is a new razor in the mail.
    Especially a slant one!

Got mine in the mail today...was shocked how smooth my 2-pass shave turned out. Going to have to put it through some further trials but I think this one may be a RAD killer.

    Good to hear.
As I posted in my thread in the General Discussion, I used it today with 15 to 20 year old canned shave gel with very good results.

What is the weight of the 37C? How would you guys rate it opposed to the Progress?
