Psycho Razors from around the World

I have found several psycho razors over the last year or so on eBay. They were either mislabeled or labeled so poorly that I got them each for a good prices. I have posted photos of the different ones. Three of them are the Gillette Psycho Tech razors all from different countries and the last one is a Grafco razor. The three Gillette razors from right to left first one is marked 'Y 4', 'MARCA REGIST' and 'IND BRASILEIRA' made in Brazill. The middle one is marked underside of the head 'C 4' and under the cap 'Made in England'. The last one is marked 'Made in USA' and 'X 3'. The Grafco Razor is made in Germany.

How do I determine the dates of the Gillette razors since the Psycho razors had such a long production period. I have Gillette the following date codes: England X 1, C 4, Brazill Y 4 and USA X 3.

Does anyone know the age of the Grafco Razor?

Very nice! I've always thought the psycho razors were pretty neat.

How do you distinguish them from normal techs? Did they all have the locks on the bottom?

Psycho razors are all key lock razors for pyscho wards and prisons of yesteryear. One common problem is finding the razor without its key.

The Graftco also shaves like a Merkur. It give a really good shave.

I have been trying to find out some more information about the Gillette Psycho from Brazil. I have seen several for England and the USA but have not seen the ones from Brazil mentioned. Any idea why? Did Gillette only make them in Brazil for a very short time?
