Mine is the iron gall...recently got it from an amazon mkt vendor called court house supplies...no easy way to tell before you buy...you could just ask the vendor if they know.

I like to mix a little Pelikan blue into their blue-black for one of my favorites.

Pilot blue black...check with Jetpens and see if they are getting more of it. They sometimes get stuff from Asia that we do not get here in the us
