    Default I did the impossible

I botched my lather with Proraso this morning. I left too much water in the brush, and when I attacked the snurdle of cream in my lather bowl it exploded into a sudsy mess that I couldn't recover. I had to rinse it all down the drain and start over. My second attempt was perfect. I thought it was near impossible to botch a batch of Proraso lather. The stuff is fool-proof. Well, I guess even experienced wet shavers can botch a batch of Proraso once in a while.
TOFLAC-U, AOM, LEMS/ Stay back! I have a Merkur, and I know how to use it!

Don't feel bad! I did that same thing the other day. It was my first test/break-in lather with my new TGN 22mm super badger knot and vintage Ever-Ready handle. I really underestimated the huge amount of water that the "super" badger can hold!

Instant sudsy mess. But it still worked quite well to break in the brush.

Off topic but what loft did you set the knot at? I have a vintage every ready all set to take a TGN 22m Silvertip. Trying to gauge what everyone is using. Thanks!

    Honestly I have no idea.

If I remember, I will measure it after work! It's the "bulb" shaped knot for full disclosure.
