    Default Speick Deo Stick

Received my shipment of Speick items yesterday including the deo stick.
I am 33 yrs old and since I have been 11 or 12 I have only ever been able to use antiperspirant. I had always found that the drug store brand deo's gave me a wicked rash in my underarms.

After reading up on the Speick deo and some of it's natural properties, and the exclusion of aluminum...I figured "Why not"?

When it arrived in the mail last night, I figured I would give it a try at home so see if I had any outbreaks, vs itching and scratching at the work place. After about 5 mins or so, my armpits felt like they were heating up. But then something strange happened.....which is nothing. My underarms seemed to have gotten along nicely with the deo stick.

So, I figured I would try again this morning. I don't typcially sweat much as it is (unless I am at the gym or playing sports), and have never had body odor issues, but was afraid that I might start to sweat since I have always used antiperspirant. Well I am happy to say, that not only did I stay dry and comfortable all day without a rash....but 14 hours later I can still smell the deo stick I am wearing. No, not that I am sitting here sniffing my underarms, but the scent is quite strong but not in a bad way. I have heard the description of the scent as "peppery". I would agree to an extent. But more so, clean and crisp. So far I really like it.

The other nice things about the deo stick container is that once I am done with it, I can use it for my Speick shaving stick, as a container.
    Just my 2 cents.

    Thanks for reading.

I'm also sensitive to underarm stuff. Even Tom's and Burt's Bees make me peel. I've been using one of those salt rock things for a while and it seems to work quite well.

+1 on the Speick Natural. I haven't tried the blue-label stick but it's in scope for a future haul. I also had enormous problems with sprays, have gone to the stick/roll-on and very pleased.

Except for Tom's Citrus Zest. Confounded thing was OK, but if I used it on consecutive days it would tingle just enough to be annoying.

+1 ... I've also found that a generous dusting of Talcum Powder all over, especially down under, helps keep me from smelling and keeps me comfortably dry all day.

The powder is up to you ... I'm currently using Pinaud Clubman Talc, but Gold Bond is also a good one. You might see cornstarch powder, as well, but I haven't tried them.

Either dump the powder into an old sock to apply it like a powder puff, or get a device like this at Sally Beauty Supply.

If you have a Trader Joe's near you, check out their Unscented underarm stick. This has tiny cotton fibers in it to wick up perspiration. About $3 a stick, and it lasts a long time.

I like Speick deo (roll-on) and also sometimes use cornstarch powder, mainly to prevent chafing.

I'm a big fan of Speick Deo as well...it's one of the rare natural deodorant's that don't break me out, and for some strange reason it seems it smells better as the day progresses. Nice!

I stopped using anti-persperants because of the irritation, so for years it's been deoderants. But the drugstore options just smell too chemical for me. When I made an order to west coast I wanted to hit the free shipping number so the deo stick seemed like a useful addition. I'm very happy with it and love the smell. It's not like I walk around smelling my arm pits but I do enjoy my scent.

Still loving this stuff. The scent seems to last all day. Even when I hit the gym, play baseball in very hot weather, or soak up some sun at the beach...the scent is till there. The effects do wear off quite a bit after a swim, as you might imagine. But this stuff is the cat's meow. I also noticed Dreadnought (Bluebeard's in the U.K.) has a deo stick too, with Silver in it. This is supposed to help curb odor causing bacteria. I have read up on toothbrushes that have silver plating where the bristles are kept, in order to prevent bacteria from growing as well. Just thought I would mention.

I'm talking about the green. The blue one at West Coast Shaving is a spray.

I love the green one. The scent needs, well, some getting used to, but ever since the wife said she loves it I found myself buying stick after stick.

The blue one is great if you like an arlington / 4711 type of scent.

So is the stick 100% natural? That's what I'm looking for so of it is I'd be real happy!
