Default Any Unusual Interpretations of Classic Songs

Every now and then I hear an old classic done in a really different way. By and large, by an Indie group.
    For example:

Thurston Moore's (Sonic Youth) rendition of the Carpenters "Super Star"
For some reason their version really impacts her tragic life in an eerie way.

Also, the Ramones version of Louis Armstrong's - "What a Wonderful World" ...

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sL9iu...eature=related

These are definitely not remakes to imitate the original artist.... but more often than not, tributes to the original artist in their own and unusual style.

Anyone else know of any others to add to a list ?

I think Alien Ant Farm's cover of Smooth Criminal should be mentioned, although I hate that song

I'm a huge Bob Dylan fan (hence the avatar) and there are countless interpretations of many of his songs. Naturally I think it's nigh on impossible to better the originals, but a few notable ones:

Antony and the Johnsons - Knockin' On Heavens Door.

The Sisters of Mercy covered Dolly Parton's Jolene, Abba's only rockin' song Gimme Gimme Gimme, and my all time favorite, Hot Chocolate's Emma.

Their 1969 and Gimme Shelter covers are pretty kick ass too.

If I'm not mistaken, this is a Bob Dylan song as well?

I absolutely love how they harmonize the spoken word. Priceless.

Edit: I didn't watch very far into this video... sorry about the weird captions throughout.
