"They do not always have the cheapest prices on everything, but they do go out of their way to find products that other vendors will not carry. To me, that's worth more than saving $2-3 on some item in my cart"

I really like the service that I get from Royal Shave and until recently thought their pricing was generally competitive. Like I mentioned earlier, I made several purchases from them this month alone. Not any of the items that I purchased were hard to find items. I made my purchases based on great service, fast shipping and decent pricing + I like their express checkout.

May be a silver lining to this yet?
I just looked at one of my recent order sheets and it has 'Best Price guaranteed 100% price match'. So if they still offer that and the free shipping on a $25.00 purchase, I will definitely be ordering more from them

Because of this, and the possibility of not being able to offer some of the bigger commercial offerings for as low a price as some higher-volume sellers, you feel somehow "exploited"? Nobody's forcing you to buy all of your stuff from them. I shop from probably a dozen different vendors looking for the best prices, and I've ordered from Royal Shave on several occasions, either because they were the only U.S. vendor for something that would be very expensive to ship from Europe, or because they simply had a better price than anyone else.

If you've got an issue with a vendor, don't just smear them here, take it up with them. Maybe ask them why a certain product is $5 more than their competition. I'm pretty sure you'll get a reasonable answer. Until then, I don't see the point of smearing a well-respected vendor. You're beginning to sound like you have a personal issue with them.
Tossing around the term "smear" is unjustified and silly, IMO. I hear a lot of unhappiness with pricing on this thread. Although "I won't speak for others" I'd say others feel the high pricing is an issue.

I don't need to contact the vendor because I don't see me using them.

I'd say it's you that's making this personal...like openly insulting me.

    Gentlemen,

life is too short to waste arguing over vendor pricing, shipping and service. There have been some good points made in this thread- please don't let it degenerate into a series of personal attacks, otherwise heads will be knocked together.

I'm curious to know what you consider "openly insulting" to be.
While others might think prices are lower other places (which was addressed in the post directly proceeding yours with the guaranteed price match, which I don't remember any other vendors offering), you were the only one who called them exploitative, so I don't think using the word "smear" is unjustified at all.
I really don't understand why you keep stirring up drama and negativity (not just in this thread). This is the wrong place for that sort of thing.

I think everyone's been heard on this matter. Time for gentlemen to move on. If you're a gentleman, stop taking my posts so seriously like you're some crusader defending a non victim, mind your own business and move on, sir. Life is good.

For the record and because I've been challenged on my motives, I never said this vendor exploited me. I made a general undirected statement that if a business overcharges one group of buyers in order to serve another group of buyers, that's exploitative of the first group in MY judgment. Others may see that differently...especially if the are in the second group.

Perhaps that's just their business plan, but it is not a winner for me because I'd be in the first group.

If gentlemen on here are getting well served, good for them. I won't be using them because I don't need soap from Sri Lanka.

If they have a price matching 100% guarantee that would change the equation. I did not hear a definite statement that this is still in effect. The gentleman who posted that did not bring assurance that policy is still in effect. If it is, I could support this vendor.

    A big +1

    Gentlemen,

Let's distinguish between making our points, expressing our opinions, and getting into the area of the personal. We are all advocates of wet shaving and we've all been around awhile.

Remember, opinions are like a$$sholes, we all have them. There are ways of expressing said opinions that address the issue at hand and not the person who holds a contrary opinion.
