Certainly had a better attempt last night - managed to get 2 pass but the third wasn't good but that was the quality of lather from my first pass the previous night so getting much better. I'll certainly persevere with the soap as it felt lovely on my skin (never thought I'd ever say that on the internet) so thanks to those who have put their positive comments and methods on here.

I don't know, but I am tempted to buy a puck just to hear how it lathers

I find MWF performance very brush specific. Certainly the denser, more backbone brushes come through better.

I grated mine into the bowl, and it works so effortlessly now
I think the extra surface area helps

    Had a shave this morning!

Great shave.. But the scent seems a little boring compared to my other soaps/creams!

Well I managed to get a lovely 3 pass shave with this last night - my first one.

I ended up soaking the puck in it's bowl and leaving the water in that as I loaded it and then creating loads of lather and if it looked a little wet just dipping the brush back on the soap and adding it to the lather mix.

I've also spent each night hand lathering this to practise and get it right. Something I got a few strange looks at from work colleagues when I mentioned it. I think someone on this thread mentions about using painting strokes with tis rather than just twirling the brush and using both I finally ended up with a lovely lather.

I have to say this was a really excellent shave and I quite like the smell. Reminds me of watching my Grandad shave in kitchen when I were a little lad. Just has that nice old fashioned soap smell.

    It's certainly worth sticking with.

Your avatar's hilarious! In the doses I've seen of that guy so far(which included his obsession w/ a deceased Indiana steakhouse), I think he's the funniest 'straight man' I've seen.

Just got my first full puck of MWF after going through the sample. This soap would be my "deserted island" soap, hands down. Cella is a close second.
