    Default Super-Max Titanium?

Are these well known to blade watchers/collectors out there? Or are these just another knock off showing up in my neighborhood? The back states distributed via Super Max 'Feltham, London', 'manufactured in India'. Still hard to believe they'd make it to Laos at under 40 cents/pack retail.

Yeah, that would be about the going rate I suspect. They are an excellent blade, though not commonly available here in the States. I like the SuperMax blades, and the Titaniums are one of their better offerings.

Does anyone have a definitive list of Super-Max blades from lowest to highest? I keep seeing Platinum, Super Platinum, Titanium, Blue Diamond, etc. Where do they all fall?

I have about 240 of the Platinum blades in the Blade Bunker, and thought about the Super Platinum..or should I look at Titanium...or Blue Diamond...I'm confused.

David sent me a pack of Titaniums as well when I ordered a couple hundred SuperMax SPs. I hope I don't like them better than the SP's ;-)

There are decent blades, but I like the Supermax Super Platinums better.

This is just off the top of my head:

    Stainless
    Super Stainless
    Green
    Platinum
    Super Platinum
    Blue Diamond
    Titanium
    Sunrise

I feel like I'm missing a few, but I think that's the bulk of them. However, now I've heard of "Stainless Plus" and "Platinum Plus" but I've never actually seen them for sale anywhere yet.

I believe that SuperMax only makes about four blades: Super Stainless, Platinum, Super Platinum, and Titanium, and that they use a variety of blade markings and packaging schemes for distribution in different markets. I don't know this for a fact, but in previous discussions here, that seemed to be the conclusion.

Anyway, I've used all four of these blades (from a variety of different packaging, too) and think that all four are excellent blades and a fine value.

They are a decent blade and one that has stayed in my top 4 choice for a while now.

    SSB - LEMS - BOTOC - AOM - KOVT - VSOP - RSVP - BYOB - HTH - ARKO & VEG CHOSEN - YMMV

I love my SuperMax Ti's. I can't really tell whether they are better or last longer than the SP's. At RBM, the Ti's are the more expensive blades. Wouldn't that mean that they are considered to be an improvement over the SP's?

Possibly, but cost alone is not the only criteria for quality or value.

+1 I expected to like them more than the SPs, but after trying them I preferred the SP to the Titanium.

I also received a sample from David at Razor Blades and More. I prefer them to the platinums, which he also sent.

They remind me of Astra SPs, but are somewhat pricier (roughly $17/100 v. $10/100).

Definitely a quality blade that is worth trying.

Just to be clear ... Super-Max makes both a Platinum and a Super Platinum blade, as well as the Titanium. The blade I preferred to the Titanium was the Super Platinum.

I didn't like the Titanium sample blades I received at all.

To be fair I didn't try them in many different razors, but they struck me as noticeably thinner than most other blades.
They are sharp and all, but for some reason or another they gave me road rash.

Blue Diamond and Titanium may be the same (I can't tell the difference personally)

A good blade, though I slightly prefer the Super Platinum

Having now tried these for a week, I'm amazingly and pleasantly surprised. So pleasantly that I went back to the shop I found them in and picked up another 5 packs. Actually I wanted to buy the whole remaining lot (=14 packs) but was a bit shy about buying so many at once. Think I'll go back and pick up whatever might be left tomorrow.

I have tried these Supermax Titanium blades, the exact same ones, which also say "distributed via Super Max 'Feltham, London" on the back. They give me an excellent shave and I highly reccomend them. Great value for money! If I get 2 or 3 shaves out of any Supermax, I am happy.
