    Default Razor blade travel case?

I've got a question for you, gents. When you travel, how do you store used blades? Here's the scenario: you are traveling and changing hotels frequently as go from place to place. You have a DE razor with you, and blades that normally last you 3 days or so. If you have to pack up and move while your current blade is still good, what do you do?

I've been saving the paper wrapper and putting the blade back in the wrapper, but that doesn't seem like the safest approach. Is there a plastic holder available that you could store a used blade in temporarily and safely in your dopp kit?

I just leave the blade in the DE and the DE goes in a leather travel case. My blades last me about 7 days so it's only on longer trips that I need more than one blade. In such cases, my Feather packs have a built-in blade bank.

What travel case do you use, if you don't mind my asking? Does the case hold the razor away from the case walls so that the blade doesn't contact it?

I found something that works for my Lord L6 + blades (except NOT for carry-on to an airplane.) I'm thinking car vacationing.
Get an empty pill bottle, orange kind, from drug store. put the top 2 pieces of razor assembled together, plus 3-4 wrapped blades in the pill bottle and close it up.
Razor handle fits easily anywhere in suitcase or shaving bag. Used blades go back in the pill bottle (or used plastic blade container)

I've been wondering the same thing. The single-razor cases that Dovo offers are very nice, but it seems like leaving the blade in the razor might subject the sharp edge to damage.

I use one of the short-handled travel tech razors, but any 3-piece razor would work for what I do. I simply flip over the bottom piece of the razor head, and reassemble. This way, the safety bars on the head curve up instead of down, and keep the blade (which is set on top of the inverted safety bar piece) from touching anything else when the razor is reassembled.

My Dovo leather razor case doesn't touch the blade when loaded if that's what you're thinking.

Also if I was going on an extended trip 2 5packs in either the paper Gillette or plastic Shark dispenser fit in a zippered pocket in my shaving kit.

I don't trust a blade that's been loaded and then packed away again, I would just toss it and start fresh at the next hotel.
I only get 3 shaves on a blade anyways, so I'm not losing all that much anyways.

Men - I present my solution. Walked over to Wallgreens and picked up this soap case. It was under $2 and fits a generous amount of refill blades. I figure this would work well to keep humidity out when traveling.

An Altoids Smalls case is made of steel is just a bit larger than a DE blade. Works great for holding a few new blades as well as any used until you're at a place to dispose. At home, I use it to hold my halved DE blades I use in my Parker.

    +1 on the Altoids tin.

I use the case from WCS. I leave the blade in the razor and have never noticed any problem/damage to the blade/effect on the shave.
