Thanks for the review
I have the 1.1 for my Safari, looks like the 1.5 might be worth getting too (but then I will need another pen)
I love the 1.5 on my al-star, but am going to order a 1.1 for my Studio. The 1.5 can sometimes be a bit too large.
Thanks for the review.

to get rid of the scritch you're feeling, get a paper bag from the grocery store and spend a half hour drawing figure 8s in both directions.

Most of us are comfortable scribbling with BP or RB pens. With Fountain pens (it doesn't matter the brand or point) we have to learn to write at a slower pace. You have to write slower than the ink flow. The wider the nib is, the slower you have to write in order to maintain a good line. I experienced this today using a flex pen with a heavy ink. Patience is good with fountain pens. Patience is something our generations tend to be short on. Slow down your writing and you will see a definite improvement in the performance and the quality of your fountain pens. Enjoy!

Good to know, I thought i was experiencing feed problems but perhaps I am just rushing things!
I have this very pen on load at the moment and the first few lines come out great then i keep speeding up, it makes such a huge difference taking you time (with the whole couple of hours and three pen experience i just aquired) cant say how one pen is better then another, but of what i have this is by far the most forgiving when you take your time,
makes me look like i have clean writing instead of the chicken scratch i usually have at work with my cheap bics
just took 20 minutes out of my life to write a nice letter to a friend of mine, something i havent done in many many years, it didnt say much but it was fun to do and i took my time with every word as well looks fantastic btw
a little personal to show a pic though

If you enjoy the letters, there is a card and letter group here on B&B. Click on the "Community" button at the top. PM brianw if you're interested, then PM anyone in the group to exchange addresses. Although I'm about 3 months behind in replies, there are several of us that regularly exchange letters.
