Default How to stabilize crack starting in freestyle pipe?

The crash is starting on the outside of the top.
only about a quarter of an inch not very deep.

    But my favorite pipe.
    what should I do?

Can you post a picture of it? I don't know what to do but a pic might help the more knowledgeable guys around here offer suggestions.

Hard to say with out a picture, but probably just keep using it. Make sure your cake isn't too thick, that can cause cracking. Topping the pipe would probably ruin the look of it for you.

Depending on placement/proximity to flame while in use you may be able to use Elmer's white glue to fill in most of the crack. That's what they use on cobs to glue the stems to the bowl. If you can, post up a pic or two.

+1 on checking on the cake buildup.
