    Default Checking In from England

    Hey there,

I converted to DE shaving last month, after about 20 years of wet shaving with cartridge razor's and being fed up with the irritation they left me with.

i bought a luxury soap starter kit from traditionalshaving.co.uk (i found a B&B code on the web, so here i am)

    - EJ black badger
    - Merkur 34c HD
    - TOBS sandalwood soap
    - derby blades

along with a sample blade pack, have got some more samples since.

i got a couple of nicks with the derby's on the first couple of shaves so moved on to gillette 7 o'clock yellows and greens (i like both of those), i'm now having great two pass shaves.

The shaves with the DE are so much better than the cartridge razors its unreal, i actually enjoy shaving now! i didnt think i'd ever say that!

i've just tried a sample of TOBS Jermyn street shaving cream, it's much easier to lather than the soap with the very hard water in my area, so i've ordered a pot, i prefer the smell to the sandalwood as well

i've also got some proraso soap to try and some proraso pre/post cream (tried it post shave and it was super cooling!) that will be great if we ever get a summer over here...

anyway, i'm sure i'll have some questions soon enough

    Cheers!
