Question Help me find my next Truefitt & Hill Shaving Cream ......

I dislike the new Ssndalwood, I really really like the Ultimate Comfort, which I own and use very often.

TF&H make 3 cologne type scented shaving creams, 1805, Trafalgar and Grafton.

Which of these 3 should I get - ohhh, I will probably at a later stage get all 3, but for now will only buy one - which one do you like and will you recommend me to get ?

Can't help much with this I'm afraid. The only one I own is 1805 and, for me, it falls short of my other English Creams Tobs Jermyn Strett and Pens BB. It is a pleasant enough frangrance but a little bit subdued and old world for my liking.

Almond. Lavender or rose. Never that taken on the cologne creams.

Of those, I only have the Grafton - which is a very good cream. That said, I'll have a hard time picking T&H creams over other products I've tried. I'd suggest you get a sapmpler pack from T&H and start from there.

My favorite is Trafalgar but I can think of nothing that better exemplifies YMMV than fragrance. I have the entire line up of Trafalgar products including the bar soap and would still recommend the sampler pack suggestion and PIF the sandalwood sample.

Claus, the 1805 scent is spectacular. I'm eagerly awaiting for the hard triple-milled shaving soap to arrive.

You can't go wrong with either of them, I just prefer Grafton.

+1. I got the sampler pack and wound up deciding that T&H really isn't for me due to price point. It was GREAT fun working through all the different scents though. They also include the AS Balms for several of the. And, be sure to pick the one with the Cologne samples included. It will give you a good feel for if the whole line will work for you.

Trafalgar for me. You might try purchasing the sampler pack from their website.

Grafton for me because of the amazing scent. Performance wise most are the same.

I am very fond of both 1805 and Grafton and have the Cologne and Balm for both. I think they are both top fragrances for my taste. It is a close call but the 1805 edges out the Grafton by a nose. I have yet to try the Trafalgar...but it is on the list.

I'm going through the T&H sampler pack now and have tried all 3 of these. I like them all, but the 1805 is my favorite. You can't go wrong with any of them. I think I still prefer soaps over creams though. I seem to get a smoother shave with less irritation from soaps.

I would go for the sampler. It's only like $10, shipping included, and you will be able to try them all out!

WOW...I've owned all of the ones in your poll and I have to say..... The Rose is better than all of them. If you don't fancy that...I toss a dart at the board and it lands on 1805.

The rose is great, but I really dig the sandalwood. Rose is a close second. For 8.50 you can't go wrong!

Of the three, I really love the scent of the 1805 much more than Trafalfar or Grafton.

When I got the sampler pack, out of the 3 listed I liked the Grafton and 1805. I bought the 1805.
