Default Lemon Pomegranate soap/ cream ?

    Greetings everyone,

I had been enjoying the thread about member's and their requests for a lemon-rose soap. Although rose does not strike me as a scent that I would indulge in, I was inspired to ask how I would go about finding someone to try and make a lemon-pomegranate soap/ cream.

You see, this morning I received a few knick knacks for father's day from my 10 mos old daughter. One of the items I received was a body lotion for my dry elbows that my wife always points out. Anyhow, the jar of lotion was from C.O. Bigelow men's line....in a lemon pomegranate scent. Well, if I could have eaten the jar, I would have. This stuff smelled amazing. Sweet, but not overbearing or too fruity.

Anyhow, I was wondering if anyone could offer suggestions on who I would be able to contact for a soap in this scent. I would be more interested in something that is not a melt and pour glycerin based soap. Not that they don't work well, it's just that my face does not seem to get along with it.

I have a feeling this post will get a few views, but perhaps very limited replies since the lemon-rose seems to be quite popular.

Anyhow, any leads would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks everyone.

    - Brad.

Best of luck Brad, and happy father's day!

Matt a queencharlottesoaps.com will make custom shaving soaps or creams for you. His shaving products come with extremely high recommendations.

Michelle from Mystic Water Soaps (mystic4men) sells an unscented puck. She provides very detailed instructions on how to add scent to her soap with your own FOs and EOs. In fact - she even created the lemon/rose samples you mentioned in your post using this same method.

    Brad-
I agree with Brian- Matt at QCS would likely be happy to make you a custom soap/cream. I have many QCS products, and they are wonderful.

Another consideration would be Kiss My Face grapefruit/pomegranate cream. It smells heavenly!

Mama Bear (Sue) makes a pomegranate based shave soap called Polynesian Red. It's got pomegranate, grapefruit, apples and some other stuff in the scent mix. I really enjoyed my sample of it.

IIRC Sue said if she received ten orders (I am assuming ten one-puck orders) she could do almost any scent you want (if the ingredients are legal). If you don't mind ordering ten sticks or pucks she may be talked into making shave soap in your preferred fragrance. I remember hearing she even did a cannabis scented shave soap for someone (cannabis is illegal in 49 states and by federal law, don't ask how she got around that to make cannabis scented soap).

Thanks for the lead. I think Sue makes mostly melt and pour's (unless I am incorrect) however. I had a chance to use her "Ye Old Barbershoppe" soap. I loved the scent, but my neck had a different reaction to it. So it made it's way to shower duty, unfortunately. Thankfully pomegranate is still legal here in Canada.

Pomegranate is perfectly legal here as well and since it isn't harmful in any way I would expect it to remain so. I gave the cannabis example to show how far she will go for someone since possessing cannabis can get you prison time. The fact that Sue is willing to risk her freedom and clean criminal record to make a product for someone shows that she has top-notch customer service.

My hunch is that Sue used a FO in that one -- something commercially available. She's a pretty smart lady -- no risk of prison time involved.

If you want a custom cream (very soft, could easily be packaged in a tube), I highly recommend Al.

Thanks again guys. I decided to contact Matt at QCS. He's been a true gentleman. Over the last few days we've chatted about the details, and it's going to be a shaving cream. (Matt suggested it holds the scent better.)

Anyhow, he's advised me that the scent is "wonderful" and his family agrees. So, it should be on the way in the mail in the next few days I suspect. I am pretty excited.
Matt even allowed me to give the soap a customized name. I assume it's so that it's on the label when it arrives. How cool is that? Since my daughter was the reason for starting all of this, I named it after her.

    "Madelyn Emma".

Classy, unique and just enough sweetness.

Mama Bear's cannabis scented soap (they still have it for sale) is based off the smell of the plant itself..not the dried, crushed up smoke-able stuff.
