I currently carry the Leatherman Skeletool, but during contruction work have carried a CRKT M.A.K. -1 (for inspection and prying) and an Al Mar Payara (until it ended up scaring people when I pulled it out). I like the Skeletool because it's light and simple (cool looking but not very elegant). The MAK-1 is an awesome piece of steel that can be abused (use it mostly for things other than cutting though) and the Payara looks really cool and is sharp, but the concave curve makes it difficult to sharpen.

I have a Queen Cutlery Doctors' knife as my EDC. I used to have a Gerber Mini Fast Draw that I really liked, it lasted a few years until it broke, not bad for $20.

Here in Eastern Kentucky, a man feels naked without his knife and that does not translate well into our present "Homeland Security" world. The other day I went to the County Court House to re-up on my driver's license. I was met at the door by a security guard holding a basket asking me to empty my pockets. I complied and when the Security guard saw my knife, she said, "Excuse me sir, but you will have to leave the building", I asked why and she told me to exit the building or be arrested. What? Heck, I went to High School with this lady and she knew full well that I was no threat. But I put my knife in my car and went back in. Sometimes I think we carry things too far.

Sorry for getting off the topic. I carry a Carl Schlieper "German Eye" Congress. Around here they are highly prized. We call the "German Eyeballs" What can I say.......it's the culture.

I have a Columbia River Knife and Tool M16-series (forget the exact model) that I got for insanely cheap from Sportsman's Guide.

Yeah I know it's made in china..but $16 for a $50 knife..I was sold. Plus it's my second one since I lost the other one somewhere. :(

Plus it has never failed me.

I don't carry one usually unless the situation may warrant it, however I am rather fond of my Gerber Evo. At first it was a right pain to open, but now a flick of the wrist and it opens, but never opens in my pocket... it locks which I tend to like (don't particularly like the idea of a knife closing on my fingers..) and has a clip for me pocket.

I usually have either a Victorinox Minichamp or Leatherman Micra in my pocket at all times. I love my small multifunction knives...

I've got a lot of Kershaws. Right now, I'm stuck between the Rake and Breakout Auto. (the Rake is shaving sharp, the Breakout is still factory)

I am interested in carrying a pocket knife. My dad carried a Swiss Army Knife (the one with the toothpick and tweezers) for 32 years to open boxes etc. These are the pocket knives I have been looking at:

    MiniChamp Pocket Knife

    Explorer Plus Pocket Knife

I am looking for a small knife to carry with my wallet, keys, and iphone. I would appreciate any help, recommendations you all can offer.

    Best,
    Jerry
