I always believed snus is used either in pouch form or pressed into a prilla. Correct me if I'm wrong...

I hate to be the one Sal, but you're wrong. Experienced snussers can shove a third a can in their upper lip just like I can do with a dip in my lower. I know a guy who packs his upper lip from molar to molar. Yes he looks like an idiot, but he does it.

I'd also like to point out that the guy you're addressing is in Sweden and said he's been using snus for 30 years, so I'd assume he's more familiar with snus than any of the rest of us here.

What our friend from Sweden is talking about is lovingly called a "hillbilly pinch" in snus circles. I too load my lip the same exact way ;-) I started out trying to form the perfect, easy to place prilla...but I realized that packing a prilla too tightly hinders the flow of nicotine and flavor. A friend of mine from Sweden told me to just pinch it up and shove it in there, then you can smooth it out with your tongue and it stays in place just as well, if not better.

I remember my first trip to Sweden a few years ago. At the local equivalent of the 7/11 were small refrigerators with glass doors and tin and after tin of snus. My Swedish relative gave me some General Portions something or other in a pouch. Strong stuff after a few beers, think I only manage to have it for a few minutes before getting a bit dizzy.

General original portion. Not my favorite snus, but I'll make do with this as it's available locally at a decent price. Going to pick up a couple of tins of the white portions while I wait on ordering some loose stuff from Northerner.

Do you snus while you shave? Or spit it out prior? I snus in the shower and spit out right before I shave. Seems like it'll impede with the upper lip shave.

By the way, right now, at work, today General White (mainly Original though). When I get home a big pinch of General Los shoved up in my top lip so my wife laughs at me and calls me a chipmunk.

Never really thought about it. I spit it out before shaving because I hate using snus when I shower. Can't even tell you why, just don't like doing it.
