Default How clean do you keep your sensor?

Well, after 5 years I finally had to break down and get something besides a rocket blower to clean my sensor. It was extremely dusty over the last year here and the blower is basically just making things worse at this point. I picked up the Copper Hill mega kit and tried it last night. Used the blower first again (worse), then the brush (better), and 4-5 swabbings where the first 3 were most likely not up to par technique wise. I managed to get all but 3-4 of the dust bunnies off and they are definitely welded on. I have to look for them with a clear background at f13 and not much any lower than that. I seldom shoot any smaller than f13 so it's not a big deal for me. I may try to hit the welded on spots later today or tomorrow, but I should probably stop while I'm ahead

So how much dust are you willing to put up with?

I never use anything to blow inside the camera.

I have a camera-pen with a triangular "felt" covered head to wipe dust off the sensor.
If it is really stuck to the sensor I moisten the pen's head with isopropyl alcohol and that normally does the trick.

I generally try to take good care to avoid dust when changing lenses and am maybe a little OCD prone or neurotic; I don't like dust or any other kind of spots that show in a photo.

I only have one lens, so changing lenses hasn't been a problem. Just the zoom action of the lens has brought dust into the camera body over time.

I tried a sensor pen after I got the sensor nearly completely clean, and it left more crud on it than when I started.

Yeah, I have tried that too.
Blowing the felt part with compressed air before cleaning the lens has worked for me more than once.
As the sensor (at least in my old Minolta camera) gets static, the pen really has to bee free from dust particles, otherwise they will stick to it quite fast.

I have seen on the new Sony cameras they have a build-in anti-static feature to clean the sensor.
I would really like to save up for one of those, but somehow shaving brushes seems to get into the way
