You skipping days on this razor just to combat boredom or just when you think Seraphim's hiding in your closet with an airhorn?

Last I heard, Doc has banished himself to a cave far away from all faucets until the test is complete.

I was hiding in the bathroom closet all weekend, but not a peep...

I finally emerged, and he'd left a yellow post-it note on the mirror:

    Gone fishin' up North
Jeesh, the guy could have at least told me in advance!

Before leaving, I rummaged around the fridge, made myself a ham sandwich and drank some of his beer.

    EDIT:
P.S.- Doc, you're out of mayo, and running low on mustard.

Drinking a man's beer's a hangin' offense around these parts, stranger.

Hope you enjoyed the left overs.

Good thing I took the good beer.

So I was away on vacation, took the TI and my Feather AC. Had 2 shaves with the TI, both very good. I took a TM practice strop for ease of travel. All shaves were with Arko.

    Shave # 35
    Prep: Hot shower
    Soap: Arko
    Strop: TM Practice strop
    HHT pre shave: 4
    Shave: Great shave

    AS The Veg

    Shave # 36
    Prep: Hot shower
    Soap: Arko
    Strop: TM Practice strop
    HHT pre shave: 4
    Shave: Great shave

    AS The Veg

I was away for a week, the other shaves were with a the Feather AC. Comparing the two, the feather is a tad sharper but not much. The TI light years ahead in smoothness.

But only the middle third, each strop both sharpens and strops the edge.

I would have thought you were crazy when I first set out to see how many shaves I could get, now I think you might be right.

Hey Doc , what an outstanding thread !
I went on the TI site to see what steel they use , and only saw the word "carbon" used . From a makers perspective, saying the word carbon when talking about steel is a horrible tease .
Does anyone know what steel they actually use ? I'm thinking O1 is the most likely choice ...
I'm thinking ,that with the way you're stropping and maintaining the edge , you'll get 50 -70 shaves..
This is gonna be a long thread....

a nice walk in the woods helps me relax and relieves tension....
