Default Guess I jumped in with both feet!

Found at an antique store today --

    C.V. HELJESTRAND
    ESKILSTUNA

and on the other side --

    N <pic of three crowns> K No 31

So now I have a candidate for restoration. Looks in pretty good shape, actually, but needs a bit of "tightening up" on teh scales & pin. Or maybe re-scale the thing. Not sure at this point.

Anybody have comments on this one? What do the different model #'s mean?

    Pics.

The 31's are usually 5/8 when new.

This last picture is the worst of the deal. The pin is so loose that the edge can hit the scales too easily.

BTW, since I have no intention of "flipping" this razor -- I bought it for $12.

Nice find, I just got the same razor and like mine yours is IVORY.

My pins were also loose but I managed to tighten them without problems-every tap was a mini heart attack.

You got a solid razor there its ivory, look how thin those scales are
That is absolutely beautiful. Nicely done on 12$
just be super super carefully. I have some ivory scales coming in and thinking of lining them in Aluminum to make it more sturdy

I thought they were just some old cheap plastic, and I was thinking of replacing them with some acrylic or something!

You did very well for $12. That will be a fantastic shaver. The 31's are anywhere from 5/8-11/16.

That's an awesome find! Scales look like they're in excellent condition if you can get the pivot pin tightened.

And not one hour later, the mailman delivered my first ivory scaled razor. I was pretty certain it was ivory from the pictures, but I was still a bit giddy when I opened the package.

I would have to agree, Jens if you ever come across a MK 32 or a MK 33, I'll take it.
