Welcome my friend. I quit drinking beer, wine and liquor a year ago and started traditional wet shaving. Since my aftershave acquisition disorder (ASAD) began a few months ago..... I've never spent more money on alcohol in my life!!

But seriously, what a great journey of shaving discovery I'm having. I'm sure it's been said to death but like so many others I wish I'd gone down this road 20+ years ago. My father used to shave with a DE but never really explained why, stupidly I used to just think he was just being old fashioned and didn't want to move with the times. How wrong was I? One things for sure, when my son is old enough I will be teaching him the proper way to shave and I'll make sure he has the right tools for the job.

I feel your pain but like everyone else said....you will get no help here. I am in a spot where I want to buy more soaps and creams and AS essentials but am having a hard time explaining to SWMBO that i love the AoS gift set i just "NEED" more of a variety. She is convinced its not good enough and we should return it. One day I hope she will understand...In the mean time as long as I hold her shoes hostage my shaving gear is safe.

i am the same way, shaving as a hobby has become a noticeable part of my identity - i bring it up occasionally in conversation, i touch my face a lot, etc. this died down a LOT after about a year - now it's just more of my own private thing and i don't feel so compelled to touch my face or talk about my shave.

I got into wet shaving for the same reasons as you plus i thought I would save money in the long run. What a joke of a notion. I buy EVERYTHING and I LOVE IT! My wife hates it but she only knows about half of the things I buy (the rest is under the Sink). Ive never wanted to anything like I do for shaving....Thanks to B&B. I never use to order anything because i hate waiting for stuff ive already paid for but now i know the UPS and Post man.
