Mine hasn't arrived yet, but wondering if it is possible to put a double edge blade in upside down?

Welcome newcomer. There is no top or bottom, flipping them makes no difference.

Of course there is a top and bottom! Whatever side is facing up is the top, whatever is pointing down, is the bottom!![]()

Either side may equally serve as the top or bottom.
Just put one in and away you go.

I agree there is no top and bottom. However, with blades that have the waxy/gluey spots in each corner, which are used to hold the paper wrapping, I prefer to put those spots down, rather than up towards the silo doors. My reasoning is that if I have to clean that substance off of the razor, the bed is structurally stronger than the silo doors and thus is less stressed.

There is no need to flip the blade, doing so provides no value to the user whatsoever.
The numbers on the blade are used at the factory for QA purposes. If a blade checked for Quality Assurance has an edge problem, the number on the blade allows the factory to quickly identify where the problem in the process might have occurred.
