Default Saturday Night Luxury Shave; anyone else indulge?

Forget morning shaves. Forget the 2-pass & go. I'm talking about long hot shower, your favourite set-up and a relaxed, very, VERY slow-paced 4 pass and touch up and then a good, stiff belt of your favourite tipple.

Tonight's was a nice, warm Cade lather, Slim/Feather combo WTG WTG XTG ATG and a spritz of Penhlaligons BB to finish. Lounging now with a generous 3 fingers of Russian Standard Imperia over ice while SWMBO is filling the home with aromas of roast pork and duck fat potatos. Got a bottle of aged Shiraz decanted and breathing and all is well.

Am I the only one? Anyone else look forward to a great weekend night shave?

Same here, I usually save my weekend dirty work for Saturday instead of Sunday for some reason. After my "chores" are done, I have a nice long luxurious shave with my favorite products, a nice long shower and then a beer on the couch. Ahhhhhhh!

Well the majority of us might not be rich but little pleasures like this can make life feel very nice indeed. Just like geofatboys shave nation slogan... Have a great shave, have a great day.

Being as you're an Aussie...you get to beat us yanks to that luxury shave routine. I do tend to make more time and use my best soaps, AS, etc. on the weekend. A nice long bath and shave, followed by some Cognac or double shot of Vodka, does make for a mellow evening.

I enjoyed my Saturday night shave as well/ I opened a bottle of fine red wine poured myself a glass and allowed it to breath while I showered and preped. My shave on Saturday nights are slow and methodical and I allow myself the extra time to really get it down perfect. My wife cooked a great pasta dinner, we will be polishing off the wine and welcoming in another beautiful week.

I don't make a habit of luxurious Saturday night shaves, but when the opportunity is there, I strike!

Not me. A Saturday night shave would ruin my Sunday morning shave.

That's pretty much my "every evening" ritual.
I don't believe in going to bed dirty, so my last hour before bed is occupied with a shower and full head and facial shave.

Of course, that's not an option for many... my "5 O'Clock Shadow" doesn't really begin to make it's appearance until closer to 18 hours, and if I shave before work, I can go with shaving every other day and still be SAS the entire 2nd day... by the end of the 2nd day, my growth would be not unlike my growth 5 minutes after shaving with an electric.

I took your idea and had a bit of a luxurious "italian job" shave...

I had a shave with my newly refurbished ER Silvertip brush, Speick cream, and OS AS, followed by the NHL championship and a Yuengling. All is well in my corner of the world tonight!

I work at a church, so I'm up early on Sundays... Early enough that I don't want to wake up earlier to shave. So, Saturday night has turned into my favorite shave of the week. For the past two moths it has been a loooong luxurious shower, and then a shave. It had been with proraso and my tech, but tonight I used a cart while waiting for my new razor. I also received my first real shave soap (mama bear aged spice) today, so I spent some extra time with that tryin to figure out the lather.

No time constraints, and a nice way to clear my head. I love the Saturday night luxury shave.

Since I work night shifts, I have the pleasure of having time to make every shave a slow easy luxury shave. I just allow an extra 30 minutes or so each night for a good shave (except for Saturday nights when I usually do not shave.) I start getting ready for work about 2 hours before I have to arrive so I am not rushed and it helps me arrive at work relaxed and ready for the night.

I try to make every shave an adventure. I don't have a set time that I shave, just when ever the mood strikes.

I don't shave at night, but I do enjoy a leisurely Saturday and/or Sunday morning shave when time allows.

At the end of a day of house fixin/yard workin I will - if family time permits - have a long leisurely shower followed by a long leisurely shave.
