Greetings and Salutations from another L.E. Glad that you have joined us here at B&B. It's nice to enjoy something that was once a chore isn't it? Sounds like you are off to a great start.
I started out with nothing and I still have most of it left.

You might like the derby and besides you need some practice before you can judge the blade well.

I would watch the adjusting. It's good to keep all of your variables constant while practicing, maybe leave it on one number? Constantly changing it will be tougher.

I just keep the adjustment to 9... and to tell you the truth, I'm looking forward to try other blades. I threw out my Derby blade after the 3 day shave.

    So an update...

Member eizan70 hooked me up with a razor sampler and I was on a mission to find that perfect razor. My current Derbys irriatated the hell out of my neck and I'm left with blotchy red spots on my neck. 4 days ago I switched the blade to the feather... OMG I was in heaven! Absolutley BBS everywhere.. even the neck area, with no blotchy red spots! Just remember to lubricate the area well and just take your time with the shave. Today I shaved with the Personna Platinum and I'm missing my feather blade. Although I received no irritation, the blade wasnt as smooth as the feather or should I say sharp. BTW, my face seems healthier and clearer... thanks to the Witch Hazel and Nivea balm and sometimes the Proraso "post shave balm" (tiny bit of water and tiny bit of Proraso, lightly cover the skin and leave in).

Here are my favorite blades so far: (More to come)

    1. Feather
    2. Personna platinum
    3. Derby
