Can Any Triple Milled soap be used as a shaving soap?

I just picked up a really great smelling soap from Naked Bee

From the back of the box it lists some of its ingredients...

Palm and Coconut Oils

Saponified beeswax

Honey

Rolled Oats

Guar Gum.

Paraben free, No Propylene Glycol.
No Dyes or Pigments. No EDTA.
Phthalate-free fragrance

No Animal Testing

Their Website dosn't give any product info but I'm thinking of E-mailing them and asking if it can be used in this way.

What do you guys think. I have never been a soap guy (All Creams for me) But this stuff just smells so great and seems to bee quality

Every now and then, someone reports having used a regular soap for shaving with acceptable results. Give it a try.

The short answer is yes, but.

It will almost certainly work. But probably not as well.

Bath soaps are usually designed to lather fairly well. But the lather not nearly as key to their performance as with shaving soap. As long as people get some kind of lather they can see, the rest doesn't matter much. So the lather may not be particularly smooth and fine.

Also, almost all shaving soap contains some kind of clay, which you will not see there. It contributes mostly to the lubrication, as I understand it.

Try using any unscented cream with a soap you like. I think mantic started calling this superlather. It is very slick and works great. Also has great cushioning properties due to the cream.
