Thread: Ormonde Man

    Default Ormonde Man

Having read about this here a while ago, it's something that's been at the back of my mind. So after reading as many reviews as I could, I've decided to scratch that itch and ordered a bottle, (you only live once), the free sample I've ordered is Zizan. Are there many others here who have tried this?

I love Ormonde Man, and wanted to visit the Ormonde Jayne store in London when I was there on a brief visit. I only made it to their counter in Harrod's, but the SA was so nice, and so generous with samples that I didn't feel it necessary to go to the store. Ormonde Man is one of my favorites. Zizan is very nice, but I'm not sure I would be nearly as smitten by Ormonde Jayne if that were the only frag I had sampled. Mrs. Jakespoppy really enjoys several of the OJ scents for ladies, including Ta'if, Champaca, Sampaquita and Orris Noir. They also have a discovery set that always has free international shipping.

If you get on their email list, they notify you of sales events, and several times a year they have free international shipping.

I really like Ormonde Man, the more I wear it the more I seem to like it. I'm sure you'll not regret the purchase! It seems very elegant, it can be a formal scent I think but I also wear it to the office pretty regularly. It also lasts longer on me than most of my other frags, it's one of the few that I can still always smell on me after working all day.

I like it a lot. Very well blended with hemlock giving it an unexpected twist.

It just arrived today, so had to try it of course. I've only had it on a short while but I'm impressed, I don't regret buying this at all. I know it isn't cheap, but life's too short not to really push the boat out on something now and again.

It's phenomenal. which makes me realize, i'm not sure i've ever been so displeased at how short lived a fragrance is.

No kidding? I can't think of a shorter lived frag, not one at least that's potentially a top 5'er.

Yeah, five light squirts last me all day long. Did you try a sample or a new bottle. Seems to me that after being decanted - perhaps multiple times, decants loose some of their potency.

I like to think, I over apply most frags, but i'm not sure I've given it 5 sprays. I snagged a 10mL travel spray from Daverasi for just that reason. I wasn't happy with the longevity of the 1mL sample I must have gotten from some decant shop online.

AND I JUST GOT AN EMAIL FROM ORMONDE JAYNE SAYING THERE IS FREE SHIPPING RIGHT NOW FOR FATHER'S DAY! (it's father's day in UK!) that's worldwide shipping as well - and they just launched a new service that lets you pay directly in US dollars. For the free shipping you enter FATHER12 in the promotional code box at checkout.
I am addicted to Ormonde Man & use the box of Travel Sprays which is really economical - i have one in the car, office, pocket & sportsbag!

I found all of the OJ scents to be very well made, masterfully blended with very high quality ingredients, with only a few issues with longevity. OJ Man, Zizan, and Isfarkand, for example lasted most of the day on me, despite rumors of poor longevity. However, none of them really wowed me. There is a discovery set for sale in the BST by the way. Congratulations on your purchase all the same, Pancho Sanza, Zizan is a really nice fragrance with a lot of elegance and sophistication. You'll be smelling fantastic!
