I'm probably a newbie. But I catch on fast and after 3 months of being into fountain pens my collection is pretty expansive. I'll pass for a real "newbie"

I would love to be in. Haven't tried one in years (school days). What I need is another hobby, like I don't spend enough on shaving.

I am sort of an old newbie. I used fountain pens years ago, but never had anything that really kept me hooked. I now have an inexpensive pen that seems to be what I was looking for, but I am always open to other possibilities.

I'm a fountain pen newbie. Just recently got into them after seeing discussions on forums like this and watching some youtube videos. I'm not a collector of them cause I don't have that kind of cash, but I grabbed a few 78g's, an cheap Ohto, and a Kaweco Lilliput, and I love the feel of writing with fountain pens. I'm looking forward to checking out different inks. No fancy expensive pens for me yet, but I like the ones I have and they seem to write really well for me. Anyway, first post on here after lurking for a while. Thanks to everybody who posts in this forum, I have found it really helpful as well as fun and entertaining. I'd be interested in anything a fountain pen user in the know would suggest a newbie should have.

Am I technically a fountain pen newbie if I'm interested (and have been for a while) but don't yet own a fountain pen?

    Count me in.

I own a Safari and love it to bits.

Would like to try out other FPs though.

I'll bite. I just got a Lamy Safari and a Platinum Preppy, I could use more stuff to play with. Plus, I like the way my wife writes with my pen - she needs one!!!

There's a lint AD? Cool! Do we have sub-forums for that. Pocket lint? Clothes dryer lint? The possibilities are endless!

Cool! Please count me in...I have a couple of pens (two that were PIF'd) and I love them.

You guys (myself included) are horrible enablers and just the worst kind of people.

I tried a MMOC once. I've sinced switched to straight razor shaving because it was less dangerous.

Please count me in. But I would like some clarification on the lint; pocket or belly button?
