Default What I love about ebay

I always thought those "Flying Eagle" razor sets from China looked kind of neat, mostly because the mirrored case. I have no illusions about the quality however, so when I see on listed on the bay with a starting bid of twenty bucks and an exorbitant shipping fee I have to laugh.

So I was pretty stoked when I found an ebay store that sells them for $4.99, shipping included. How could I not buy one?

    No live links.

A search on "Free Shipping Safety Razor" with a price range of less than $5 should turn it up.

You laugh, but they look kind of cool for a cheap razor.

Links to BIN-only listings are OK, which I assume this probably is otherwise you wouldn't know what it would sell for ultimately.

"narative soul" is right, you can also pick one up for $3.66, shipping included. The $4.99 listing had better pictures of the case however. Flying Eagle

What the heck..ordered one. Hard to resist for 5 bucks shipped from Hong Kong! :) . I wonder what that case is made from....surely not copper. I presume some cheap metal painted to look sort of like copper. We'll see.

I would think the case is a high copper alloy, definitely a soft malleable metal and it does appear to have been colored, shifting between a copper and a brassy color, it does have a small but serviceable mirror too. Overall I have been pleased with the razor and it is a handy traveler.

What I hate about E-bay is when an item you send gets lost in the post and you end up holding the can even though you clearly specify in your T & C's that you are not responsible for items lost of damaged in the post!

Along with not posting links to a live auction, did you know that you can't provide information so that people can search for it either?

When you created an eBay account, you agreed to their rules.

The link provided is to a purely BIN listing which is allowed. We cannot link to (or discuss) auction listings, or auctions with a BIN option.

I got a 3 dollar razor and a 5 dollar razor from China or Hong Kong.

Interesting Razors, very cheaply made and wont last long.

I will order one of these just for fun.

I have some cheap Tech Clones, from Lord and Gilette India, both where in the $8 range shipped. Although the handle was crap, I just mounted them to a nice handle and they both provide great shaves.

Looking forward to how these shave, heck just going to buy one, less than cost of Latte

I got mine today, as I'm familiar with bargain bin Chinatown housewares I knew what to expect, and I was right.

The head is actually a nice surprise, a cheap Tech knock-off, but looks like it may have a little more blade exposure. The handle is actually a piece of threaded rod with a plastic outer sleeve. It's small and narrow.

I got this for the case, thinking I could keep my old type in it. Well, the case is pretty cool, decent aluminum construction with the cool logo embossing. It's a bust for me however, as the old type handle is too long to fit inside.

Was it worth $4.99 and free shipping? Hmm, I'm probably not going to use this razor more than once. I can't use the case as I intended. But it's not a bad little set, I'm not sure if I'd recommend it even at that price.

For now it will stay in the suitcase as a travel set.

here is a working link (for now)

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lucky-Red-Me...#ht_6006wt_991

i own this and was my first razor, and currently my daily razor. i love it. the handle started to come apart, so i super glued the inner rod to the top of the handle and works great now. i love it. i will be using it until i can get a good tech from the bay and then this will go straight into its great little case and into my overnight bag. its a wonderful thing.
