    Default Can anyone tell me anything about this hone??

    Hi all.. I picked this up with some old straight razors. It measures approximately.........2 1/2" X 1 7/8" X 8 1/2 "
    Any information would be helpful.

    At first look I would guess a washita. Have you cleaned it up any?

    First, thank you for your reply. I washed it in dish detergent......then I steamed it. I've been sharpening knives for forty pluses years and have owned many washitas. This stone is much Harder/Denser than any washita ive had. It is also much smoother. So, any other ideas?? Matt, i won't tell anyone about your banning.
