    Default Polishing question

    So, I just got done restoring my first straight razor, basically a combination of wet sanding and polishing to a mirror finish. progressions was 220, 400,600,800,1000,1500,2000 and polish. I still have a few really tiny scratches left on the blade and was wondering if that is due to progressing through quickly through the higher grits? i know this thread is useless without pics but the scratches are too fine to show up on camera.... the curse of having 20/20 vision.

    Most likely you moved up too fast, you MUST remove all scratches from previous sanding before progressing.
