I was able to purchase an OS mug with the soap from Ebay for $28 plus shipping. Like others said, I would use the soap because it is excellent.

Keep it, use it, enjoy it.
Which ship is on the other side of the mug? "Recovery" or "Grand Turk"? This is a 70's mug, I believe, but from the info I've found, hard to pin point the exact year. Nice find. I keep hitting the antique/junk/thrift stores, but haven't found any except for the coffee mugs.

It arrived today. If I drank my coffee out of this one every day, my right arm would be half again bigger than my left. It weighs a TON! My regular coffee mugs are a series of Schultz' Peanuts character mugs that weigh a third or at most half as much as this beefy critter does. If this was what I dropped in 1956 or 1957 and broke, it would have damaged the floor when it hit, instead of shattering.

Nice find.

Old Spice is without a doubt my favorite soap. No contest. Tallow-y goodness. I highly recommend trying it.

I have been using some old spice for over 2 years now. Will be 3 years in november this year. I shave 2x a week and only load what I need.

For those of you really interested in Old Spice Mugs, go here: http://www.cr8on.com/mugindex.html and do some reading. You'll never bid on another mug without checking.

Well I tried it. First time was horrible, runny and not protective at all. I tried again today, adjusting my technique and all is well. The scent is what made it worth it to me. It feels nostalgiac to me, because I'm almost certain my grandfather used this. Too young to remember details.
