I've been very happy with the Darjeelings I've had from LochanTeas over the past few years.

I've used Lochan and Tea Emporium. For some reason, I like second flush less than autumn - much less, in fact - but if I were ever to buy a DJ for its muscatel and outrageous fruitiness, it would be a Makaibari. I've had a very humble 2nd flush Makaibari that was a muscatel bath. Lovely stuff, and it just came unordered from Lochan, as I remember.
Hi, Mosomoso--
Write to the nice lady at silvertipstea and ask her what she would recommend for muscatel. I searched "muscatel," and two 2nd flushes popped up, one 2010 and the other 2011. Here's a link to the website:

I haven't had tea from that part of the world in some years, but for a very long time it was my mainstay--Makaibari and Temi. I was drawn to tea from those gardens.
Hope you're doing well--
Best regards,
~geraldo
Well I ordered and received a 2012 2nd flush Castleton from Darjeeling Tea Express. They also sent a 10 gram sample of 2011 1st first flush Castleton. Both are outstanding. 8 days from ordering to delivery to the house. Well pleased.

Grasshopper, thank you for that link. Yes, I like Temi too. It's time I stocked up on DJ, maybe this year's autumn flush will be just the ticket. I remember receiving some of the best advice re tea from a person with a name like that of a Brasilian soccer player. In fact, I think he was geraldo too! I still drink many of his recommendations.
Greyfox, I'm yet to order from the Express, but you've got me thinking about it. I have to be careful not to end up with too much stuff, especially too much of the ephemeral FF. Of course, you all know that feeling.
Rob
I have two recommendations:
I have had the second flush muscatel from Makaibari and think it is quite good.
My favorite is the risheehat organic , which is probably less muscatel-y, but great tea and more suitable to my tastes
