Makes me think back. Sandwiches wrapped in wax paper, carried in an old bread bag. The occasional hard boiled egg and mom would make a little pouch of salt with waxed paper.

I used to be mortified to get an egg salad sandwich for lunch in Kindergarten. "Who laid a rotten egg?" was all I would hear all day around my cubby.

I just carry hot potatoes in my pocket to keep me warm in the mornings, then eat them for lunch.

I never thought to use wax paper compared to plastic bags, seems like it would be better for the sandwich. I have since switched to reuseables so as to save the environment one sandwich at a time.
