Bulldogs originally came in both silver and gold. Yours was silver. That black was tarnished silver.

Some products which a very good italian friend brought us to Spain:

For curious people, here you can see the composition of both Prep shaving cream and new Proraso lotion

Proraso have like interesting ingredients hammamelis virginiana and glycerin. Prep seems the classic italian eucaliptus&menthol shaving cream, with alantoin, mint, canfor added. Unfortunately it has some chemical detergents & parabens, but it looks promising anyway.

    Cheers!

It had a fairly bad crack in it and now I have to look closely to even find out where it is. I asked him to replate it in silver because I think that's what they were originally plated with... anyone know for sure? I unfortunately don't have any before pics of the 30s Aristocrat he did for me also, it wasn't too bad, just dull with age and plating faded on the head. Here it is with a couple extra pics:

Dave, thanks again for the great job on these, I'm really enjoying them.

    Default Back from Europe...

Well, stopped in Japan en route (frequent flier miles trip...) and picked up a tube at a dollar store, but the real haul came in Europe.

    Picked up:

    Migros 'I Am' x6
    Florena x4
    Lavera x5
    EU Palmolive x5
    Nivea x5
    Speick x4 or 5

TSA beat up the packages, but doesn't look like anything broke. Woo hoo! This stuff costs so much less in Europe. The Migros creams were $2-3 each, and even the Lavera was maybe $6/tube in Germany.

And mooore shoping, this month I have used too much my VISA, mates... :

Razorock XXX, Razorock Was Eucaliptus, Provence Santé after shave lotion, a really "oldy" tallow based La Toja stick, and a Prep cream. This Prep a thought it was a "pre shave" product but reading the instructions it seems a curious all-in-one remedy, hehe:

There's a few shaves under the lather now and I've melted the soap and mixed in some of my Wahl traditional barbers cream into it to balance it a little.
    Happy man.

Box from IB arrived today. It included a tube of the new Proraso green, a tube of the old 444 and 5 tubs of the news soaps: Bee's Knees, Moroccan Secret, SMN, Caribbean Coconut, Nervous Wreck and the LE. Took of whiff of the new scents...the Bee's Knees and the Moroccan Secret smell wonderful, Nervous Wreck smells nice but I don't get any vetiver. The remaining smell fine if unspectacular.
