Default Big Ben razor blades, not bad but not great

Just finished shaving with my Gillette Slim cranked to 7 with a Big Ben razor blade.
The blades come in cardboard packaging, all are double wrapped and look o.k.
The shave was BSS but with some work and no kill spots.
They are o.k. nothing to right home in my opinion but are fairly cheap and dependending on your skin they could be quite good for the price.
If you can get them cheap they are worth having around.
I think that for the price though Astras,Derbys,Sharks are a better purchase.
But all in all they were good.
    Have a great shave.

I've got an unopened pack of these as part of a sampler. They sound similar to Rainbow and Crown - also both Lord brands. I always get a nice comfortable shave from these with little effort but never quite as close as something like the Astra SP. However, I like the other brands as they allow me to have a good shave without all my attention which can be a good thing somethimes. I'll try and open the Big Ben next week and see how similar they are.

I always got good shaves with Big Ben blades, and they usually lasted about 5-6 shaves before they started to tug. Pretty good blades for the price, I think.

I agree on the Big Bens; good but not great. Not overly sharp but forgiving though I need some extra touch-ups. But there are several blades put out by Lord that I prefer over these.

YMMV a lot from mine. Sharks have been the only Lord blades I tried that didn't work for me at all, Derby's are among the worst I encountered and the Astra's, well, the Czechoslovakian ones (back in the days) were really nice but I gave all mine away after trying a dozen or so of the russian ones. Lots of pulling and scraping going on with all 3 of them so from the blades you named I wouldn't hesitate to stick with Big Bens.
I must to the barber's, monsieur, for methinks I am marvellous hairy about the face

Maybe I got a bad one...just went 3 days on a Big Ben blue and it tore me up pretty bad with a plethora of nicks and major irritation all over. Not as bad as Elios blades, but not much better.

Tried a Tiger today for the first time and got a really good result.
