I've come to realize that a 5/5/5will be ideal for me. Five razors, soaps and brushes. This is enough of a rotation to hold me throughout the week. As for your collection, I see no reason to change if that's whatshe married into and vice versa. You accept each other cor who either of you were at the time of marriage. Congratulations on your marriage. I wish you health, happiness, and many a best shaves!

Wish there were anyplace near me that sold 1/3ed of that. Love the generic blue aqua velva knock off, I've got one of those too.

I have 120 pounds of just one kind of pipe tobacco all stored in 4 ounce mason jars down in my basement. That does not include all the other pounds of tobacco I have stored. What you have is not really excessive. Try having 2 shelving units filled top to bottom with something your wife does not understand.

The funny thing is, I am not supposed to be smoking at all.

Don't take this the wrong way, she does not tell me not to buy stuff. I just always want to seem like the one that buys the least, you know, moral highground and all.

I did figure one thing out though, be organized, and if you have a drawer, keep in nearly full. It seems counterintuitive, but it works. Look at the following pictures compared to the last ones. There is another $75 worth of gear here, and it has not been noticed!

Alright here are the pictures that I said I would take ages ago. I apologize for the bad quality, but it is night and the lights in my room are not very strong.

    Spoiler:

Sorry for the multiple pictures. Could not get everything into one picture due to a wall being in my way

Inside the plastic thingy are my straight razors

Mostly empty boxes and such, but also a roo wrap, and some lapping film

    And now the straight razors

    All wrapped up

    Without TSS sleeves

    Hope those were enough pictures

Wow, I love it! It's like the bat-cave of shaving. It's nice to get a glimpse of my destiny... I have been wet-shaving just under 3 months and I have been reading up on what to get for a second brush... I feel so small!

I have been married for many years before I discovered traditional shaving... so it's been an uphill battle to get the meager gear I have. The best thing I have heard someone post on this subject... it's easier to get forgiveness than to get permission... so shop first, ask questions later! That theory landed me the "everything" blade sampler from West Coast Shaving... :)

I think women are intimidated by the encroaching on their traditional territory... the bathroom. Try to keep your business contained in your area. I would suggest putting doubles and triples of items in storage somewhere else... no need to have 4 bottles of aqua velva in the same drawer. It does look a bit excessive to the non-shaving eye! Now a bottle of after-shave in every room... now we are talking!

Nice set of gear. I think you need some more brushes though!

More brushes and my girlfriend kills me I think the 12 straight razors make up for it.
