I believe http://shop.bestshave.net/ has the best prices on blades. They're from Turkey, so it will take a bit to get them delivered, but they have some bulk sets of blades with free shipping. I have only heard positive things about this place, though I haven't purchased anything yet from him.

Still best prices, and bestshave.net has a lot of useable blades IMO. If you're pickier it's probably Amazon/looking around.

how are sharks compared to Bic Chrome platinums and personna reds (israel)

Haven't tried the Bics. I find them to be about on-par with the Red IP's. I liked Shark SC more than the SS (I think it was just smoother).


I found Sharks and Red IP's to be sort of "middle of the road" whereas Astra was even a step up in sharpness. Then stuff like Yellow 7 o'clock Gillette's are probably a little step up from that. Feathers are definitely sharper, just too harsh for my skin.

i ended up going to Best shave, got some Astras sp fo under 13.00 shipped, never tried them so i hope it was a good decision,they seem to have a good following-- the Bics i wanted were sold out , but now they are back, oh well , as far as personna reds, the Bay has the best price

actually i am trying to get members to send blades in envelopes, you know send them 2 dollars or so for a couple, -------the blade samplers out there are just as much as 50 to 100 blades

Ebay/Amazon or look through the B&B vendors to see if anyone has it on sale or can beat the price.

I've found Red IP's to be around $17-18/100, check Ebay. If you're really that into the blades they had 500 and 1000 packs last time I checked lol.


I don't like Red IP's enough to get a 100-pack though, I find them to be similar to Shark where it's usable but not a blade I really like a ton.
