Thread: Qcs

    Default Qcs

I received my first order of QCS and I must say it is FANTASTIC!!! Thank you for having women's soap too, kept me out of trouble with SWMBO.

I ordered the sample pack with Vostok, QC, esquire, Mysore sandalwood, rose Otto. All flavors are terrific.

I test lathered the QC and was disappointed at first but once I found the sweet spot it was fantastic. The QC is like nothing I've smelled. Very different. The rose is very good, the Vostok smells cold, esquire and sandalwood are my favorites. I will post some lather porn tomorrow, but this was a good night.

Matt and company really offer some tremendous shaving creams/soaps. In fact, I compare them directly to the likes of RazoRock and Cella. Just great stuff and you can't beat the scents. Mysore Sandalwood is awesome!

I love the Tub, I have Cedarwood-Lemongrass for the Summer and Cordovan on deck for this Fall.

I received some Lavender and some Key Lime creams today, as well as Vostok and Lavender after shave balm.

Based on my brief test lathers, this stuff is fantastic. The scents are heavenly, and the Vostok made my face feel awesome (had to try a half-pump even though I shaved this morning and didn't need any ASB at the moment).

I'll be interested to see how it compares during tomorrow's shave with my current favorite, Mystic Water.

For me, QCS outperforms MWF and PdP. Love the scents I have (Basilica, Lavender, Old Spice type) and look forward to trying more.

Updated with photo and I could still smell the QC scent on my hand from last night to this morning.

QCS creates some of the best shave soaps and creams that I have ever tried. I ordered the Vostok Shave cream and it has been fantastic so much so that I ordered two Vostok bathing soaps and the Green Irish Tweed bathing soap. I encourage everyone to give QCS a try as they provide an outstanding shaving and bathing product.

The QCS croaps are awesome performance wise, and scent wise unbeatable! If I had to pick one cream for life the Vetiver would probably be it.

QCS are the best croaps and soaps I have used. Esquire is probably my favorite. The customer service and quality are unparalleled.

How would you guys describe the QCS sandalwood ? Similar to AoS,T&H or a different breed altogether ?

    Curious .

    Thanks ,

Different breed altogether, at least the AOS is. QCS's sandalwood smells a lot more natural, kind of earthy, than the AOS.

rose otto is REALLY nice, and Hanami is another amazing floral scent. green irish tweed is fantastic, it's actually quite a bit different from the cologne and in a VERY good way, imo. the cologne to me is a pleasant fougere but QCS' green irish tweed is more green and manly and i love it.

their soaps also have a sweet spot that is a little bit challenging to find, but very rewarding when you do. awesome company and i very much intend to throw them a lot of business and recommendations in the future.

I am a big fan of QCS. Great performing creams with some great scents. I only wish that the scents were a bit stronger. Basilica is fantastic. Vostok is the go to summer cream. It is cold, cold, cold. To me, Provence should be renamed Newly Sharpened Pencil. Not that that is a bad thing, it tansports me back to grade school.

I love QCS croaps. They are at the heart of my rotation. I have a hard time finding a soap or cream that doesn't cause skin allergies for me. This is not the case with QCS products, and for this, I'm grateful! The lather is slick and holds a lot of water and I think is ideal for straight razor shaving. The scents can be amazingly subtle in complexity and I will always have Esquire, Cayman, and Basilica in my rotation. Hanimi has one of the most interesting scents, like cherries with green tea and citrus. Can't wait to try them all!

Basilica is frankincense and myrrh. The frankincense is your typical sweet and smoky incense aroma. Myrrh provides an almost medicinal (QCS calls it "balsamic") scent, which balances the frankincense well. It's a very calming scent to me.

Even better: sometimes I get a Dr Pepper vibe from it once it's lathered! Great stuff!

As for soap vs croap...that's completely up to you. What do you usually use? The croaps seem to have a stronger scent, but performance of both is great. Soaps will probably last longer.

i've found that the descriptions on the site seem pretty accurate. hanami smells like cherry blossoms, and QC is a little bit woodsy and spicy, kinda like potpourri (i guess?) and very enjoyable. my sense of smell is really not great so take this with a grain of salt.
