    Default FragranceX order came in!

Ok, so I know I just posted about my decants coming in, but I've been indulgent this past month, so now my full sized bottles of cheaper stuff have come in too

    Dirty English
    Cool Water
    Stetson Fresh
    Kanon Norwegian Wood
    Nautica Voyage
    Aspen
    Canoe
Diesel ++ (I know, not something that's on here too often, but I was given Diesel Zero a while back and this was cheap enough for me to give in to curiousity)
D&G Light Blue (only a vial of this)
    Quorum

All received in fantastic condition, Voyage and Dirty English are cellophane sealed, the only one not in an original box is Quorum, which I specifically selected a tester of, and which came in a dark brown box.

Should be an interesting few weeks ahead, fragrance wise, and I still have an Aventus split coming!

I think I got a really large bottle of Canoe around the time of my Bar Mitzvah. I still had it when I hit my 30th.

    you'll enjoy those for sure
First impressions wise, Norwegian Wood is my favorite, a real stand out scent, very comforting. That said, the Dirty English bottle made me laugh out loud, so that has to count for something too, right?

Doesn't seem half bad, is it just not your thing, or are you just emphasizing how enormous the bottle was?

A bit of both. The bottle was AT LEAST an 8 oz. pour bottle. Amazingly over 40 yrs. later this brand is still going strong.

Let us know what you think of these. The Diesel Plus Plus and Stetson Fresh are the only two I haven't tried, although I wore regular Stetson and Diesel Fuel for Life for a long time. The Dirty English bottlemay be a little over the top, but it's a good cedar scent, kind of reminds me of the smell of a cedar closet, sort of like raw cedar wood.

I'll try my best, though I don't imagine my descriptions will be the best, seeing as how I'm quite new at it. My experience with Diesel is Zero Plus, which I would describe as a very smooth spice, it was my first cologne. Plus plus is a really creamy scent, mainly what I'm getting out of it is a pleasant vanilla bathed in cream, fitting since the box was a milk carton.

Though basenotes folks seem to notice the coconut, I'd be stretching to say I notice it. Maybe a little at the very top, but this is a vanilla scent for me

Those are excellent descriptions, Michael. Does make me curious about the Diesel scents.

They certainly aren't huge investments if you were to try them out. I can't speak as to whether or not you'd enjoy them, but with plus plus at least, I can't imagine anyone taking offense with the scent, I was pleasantly surprised to smell it.

I never cease to be amazed at the scents you find in the lower price range, though I'd imagine without the help of sites like this they might be a little harder to pick out.

Speaking of sites like this, I'd like to thank you, it was your thread discussing fragrances which one should experience to have a well rounded knowledge, with lists of classic, designer and niche fragrances, which really enabled me to get going with my purchases, it was very informative and a great place to start.

That's very kind of you. Usually, I'm called an "enabler" with a couple of derogatory adjectives in front of it.

    You're very welocme!
