    Default president agressive ?

    Evening everyone,

Is the president agressive as a razor?
Ive had this razor for a few weeks now and never shaved with it till now. I gave it to my dad so he could shave with it out of respect. He gave it back to me and told me that he bled allot. I was thinking well hes 70 so his skin is thinner now so maybe thats why. Tonight was one of my most bloody shaves i ever had hehe.
My left upper lip had maybe 4 weapers and my neck was full of weapers. I felt like the blade was more present in this razor then my fatboy and open comb aristocrat.

Anyways ill give it another shot when comes back up in my rotation.

No, I haven't found it to be. I shaved with it awhile ago with a Polsilver blade and had BBS w/o a weeper. What blade did you use?

i used a feather blade. It gave a real good shave tho and funny thing is that it was my 1st time using floids sandalore pre shave gel.

I have used an Aristocrat, which is very similar; not aggressive, but not mild either. IMHO, a good middle of the road DE. I think the President is Rhodium plated. Congrats, that is a fine razor.

Thanks , it is a very nice razor. Maybe i was the one too agressive, i probably put too much presure. Or maybe my blade isnt good anymore ? I lost count of how many times i used it.

look at it closely on each side and make sure the gap between the safety bar and the bottom of the doors is even all the way across.
Sometimes these got dropped on the sink, and being top heavy would tend to land doors down, creating an uneven gap which leads to cuts.

Also look at it from top down with a blade in it and see if the blade sticks out evenly on each side and on each end tab.

I shaved all week with a President/Derby combination with no problems whatsoever. Maybe trying the razor again with a fresh blade and your usual pre-shave routine might help as well. Good luck!
