    Default Rapira Swedish SuperSteel

There have been some posts on this, and people have asked about them being the same, but no one has given a definite answer, anyone know for sure? Both of the blades look exactly the same, not sure I can tell a difference (although I've had a bunch of shaves with the Russian, black box, and only one with the Swedish, white box, one). The only difference I can tell is the cardboard outside box, and the paper sleeve.

    Swedish: http://turanchik1978.en.ec21.com/Rap...6_3834248.html

Bestshave.net only has the Russian one, but I don't know that I can tell any difference

Both are manufactured in Russia by the same company. The packaging on the "Russian" version says "super steel." Is the origin of the steel Sweden? Couldn't tell you.

Almost seems like the difference lies in the marketing of the packaging or some sort, not the source of the steel. Both of the Rapiras themselves are completely identical, I've never seen a blade even in the same line that had identical stamps? Seems like it's either the same exact blade in a difference package or it's darn confusing...

I find a lot of these Russian blades to act similar and very well IMO (obviously YMMV), but I can't even feel a difference with the Swedish Rapira?

    I'm confused. You've posted a picture of a Perma-Sharp.

Also, I found this from an older description of the "Swedish Supersteel" variety "Rapira Swedish Supersteel" blades - shaving blades made from high-quality steel of Swedish company "Sandvik". Not sure what kind of steel is used in the other variety of Rapira steel blades but sounds like the "Swedish" variety did use Sedish steel.

Sorry about that, I fixed the link. Basically they both have blue and pink-ish on the box, one is mainly black, the other white. As are their outer paper wraps, but inside the blade looks identical.
