    Default Nice place!

Hey, fellow wet shavers! Nice place you have here. Been lurking for a few weeks and figured it was time to sign up. I stated with a Gillette Tech around the first of the year and then switched to a Merkur 37c about 5 weeks ago. I need to get to a nicer brush since my VDH boar sheds every shave and it isn't much to look at. I will do more looking and posting from now on. Gotta run, thanks for the great website.

Welcome. How was the transition from the Tech (I understand it's very mild) to the 37C (Slants are quite aggressive)? Planning to get a Slant myself at some point.

Tech lets me shave without much thought and leaves a few missed hairs around my neck. The slant has
me watching each pass very carefully so as to avoid irritation.

There are so many choices when it comes to brushes that it can be a bit overwhelming. After you set a budget and describe your preferences, many members of this forum will be able to offer you really helpful advice. A good quality versatile brush can really enhance the overall quality of your shaving experience. It's great to have you aboard!

I'm thinking a nice boar like an Omega or Semogue. I like the look of the natural wood handles and prefer bristles that don't get floppy during use. Something like the SOC Boar or the 1800 may be what I'd like.
