    Default 32 yr hiatus has come to an end

    Hi gents.

    After 32 yrs and many dollars down the drain, decided to go back to saftey razors three months ago and now I am hooked. Cant believe the difference a nice razor, blade and soap can make. No more 5 o'clock shadow, face irriation from multiple passes and of course the expense of throw multi-blades.

    Currently have a Merkur 38c and Jagger 89l but have a Mergress on the way. Brush side currently use a Parker best, and on the way a custom 24mm super silvertip maple/spalding as well as having two handles made for me with Amboyna burl that I will be dropping in a 28mm overstuffed silvertip and 24mm short loft silvertip. Also on the way is a 1.5 dirty bird in Randy's Red with a dribble port. As with others on this site, I can relate how we can get carried away looking for that perfect shave.

    Remember to check out a few Open Comb DEs and a few Single-edge razors like GEMS ... maybe add to your rotation.
