I built the desk back in the mid 1970's to hold a 4U rack mount S-100 computer and I have used it with every computer I have owned since that time. Still have a 4U in it but it's nothing like the first one that was in there.

Yes...... those are 8" floppies on the bottom shelf.

For me, it is either the laptop in my office at work, or as now, at home on an iPad.

The desk started as a regular corner type desk but I had to build a custom extended section to hold my main machine in it with the external 16TB boxes, the photo printer, the VCR (for conversion), my Touchpad, and more toys. (literally, I collect robots toys from various series.)

I even have a 2Gallon compressor that I use to clean my gear with, under my desk.

Oh you don't know how "classic" it really is.....

My keyboard..... I have used the same one for over 30 years . Yes the same keyboard has lasted me all this time and I am on it 8-12 hours a day every day... You'll notice that it DOES NOT have a windows key on it... That's because it pre-dates windows (any version of windows). It is an old Northgate OminiKey 101 with alps switch type keys. Solid metal back plane. Built like a tank.

I don't use a mouse. Never liked them. Started with a Marble FX track ball and stayed with it.

I have a shelf of replacement omnikey 101 keyboards, trackballs, and 3M gel wrist rests so that I NEVER have to change up my physical interface. I sit at this thing all day long as I have to be online for my business. I have become so comfortable with my personal interface devices (keyboard and pointing device) that I would dump a loaf if I had to change now...

Everything I use in the way of keyboard, pointer, wrist rest, has been out of production for at least 20 years (some much longer) so..... I have redundant backups of everything so that I never need to change anything..... ever....

    Some pics.....
