Occasionally. Usually when my morning shave comes earlier (<6:00 AM) and if I have an evening out. I actually look forward to a second shave! My technique and routine has improved and is consistent enough that I can shave twice w/o irritation.

Sometimes when I get called in unexpectedly for duty I'll require a second shave, and it's generally never pleasant. To minimize the irritation as much as possible, I'll REALLY focus on good prep before the second shave. The best thing for me though, despite whatever prep I do, is a great aftershave. If I've had a particularly rough shave, I'll slap on some Halston Catalyst (my favorite aftershave atm) and I'm ready to go.
Like most men, shaving once a day is enough for me to look clean and presentable all day. But some guys have beards that grow abnormally fast, and they might have to shave more than once a day. For example, I do have a friend who shaves twice a day. In high school, they called him "teen wolf" because he had a full beard and hairy (like, cave-man hairy) back and torso when he was 15. If he took a nap on a bus ride, he'd wake up with a beard. So yeah, it depends. :D But I wonder if shaving twice a day might cause irritation?
I don't need to shave twice a day, but it would still be interesting to try. That being said, I think I may have to not only do great prep and a great aftershave, it may also require 2 very well-performed shaves, which for me would only be DFS anyways (usually when I attempt BBS on my neck I get at least some irritation).
I have to say, I think anyone who can shave twice in a day without pretty bad razor burn has some pretty damn good technique! Products and prep for sure help, but the real issue is not irritating it in the first place if you're going after a second shave without giving your skin enough time to heal. That's what it seems like to me from trying to shave twice and seeing what people do.

I've never shaved more than once in a day and, since taking up traditional shaving, have only missed a single day. I've got a pretty tough beard but twice a day is an entirely different league.

I do when my little one is playing in the bath but it's not at the level of my morning shave. Just a pass, sometimes two.
Thank God once a day is enough for me.
+1 - I don't shave twice a day on a regular basis, but will do so on occaision. Sometimes I just yearn for the zen of shaving or am going out and do a couple of minutes with a warm towel on my face as prep. Only If I have been working on equipment or otherwise gottem myself dirty and smelly will I go through the full shower routine.
