For your consideration, two unusual straights.
Up first is the one with a copper spine (not shave ready). The tang reads, “JOH. ENGSTROM ESKII STUNA SWEDEN”. On the face of the blade is a faint etching seen in one of the pictures and it has a large arrow and around it is, “JE 1874”, presumably the date of manufacture or date the firm was established. It measures 6/8 in width. The scales do not appear original to my eye. A handsome piece with the nice contrast that only copper can provide. $91.00 CONUS.
Next up is a Wostenholm & Son 5/8 straight. The blade has a beautiful etching in terrific condition reading, “GEORGE WOSTENHOLM & SON THE CELEBRATED MEDIUM HOLLOW GROUND SHEFFIELD”. Has what I believe to be the original horn scales that are in wonderful condition. Note there is a tiny “bite” out of a portion of one scale - see closeup pic. The attribution “Sheffield” and the very short finger grip on the tang place this well before 1890. Professionally honed, shave ready and yours for $121.00 CONUS.
